Life gives us many challenges and changes…
Sometimes it seems harder than you ever imagined. I know the feeling. I used to be that way – barely able to get through the day without feeling like I was losing my mind.
Some years ago I found myself in a very dark place. I was feeling as though I was stuck in the middle of a category 5 hurricane with no light in sight. I was turning 40. Divorced with 4 girls, I was convinced what I had been told was truth; that I was not good enough, not smart enough, not needed enough. I was lost. I needed to find myself and through that I would learn that I needed to go back to the beginning and fall in love with myself all over again. In order to not only feel whole, but to feel happy. It was in this love of self that not only did I become happy again, but I became healthy! I had spent most of my 40 years taking medications for either depression, anxiety, sleeplessness, irritability, and other numerous illnesses. I always seemed to have something I couldn’t shake be it allergies, migraines, bronchitis twice a year, laryngitis twice a year, upper respiratory infections, flu, UTI, strep throat, and more. Then one day lying in bed unable to lift my head because the pain was so severe I decided NO MORE. I was taking my life back. Taking myself back.
